The following code snippet needs to be added to the .htaccess file in order to get SSI working on html, shtm, htm and shtml files:

CODE:

AddHandler server-parsed .shtml .html .htm .shtm

---

You can also simply name your files that contain Server Side includes .shtml and you will not need to add anything to your .htaccess file.
