FTP: Using FileZilla

This article will guide you through the basics of using FileZilla to upload files to your XDnet WebSpace!

If you do not already have FileZilla FTP Client installed then please visit: FileZilla-pPoject.org to download the Client software, once installed return here to learn how to use it!

Once FileZilla has been successfully installed, Open it.

Once it has loaded you can see 3 text fields at the top (as seen below), here you must enter your domain, username and password.

The username and password are the same used to login to your cPanel account, these should have been included in the setup email sent when your account was created or provided by support, if you have forgotten or lost your password please contact support by opening a support ticket or emailing support@xdnet.co.uk to recover your account.

Once you have connected you will see something like this.

After you have selected the WWW (or public_html, they are both the same) folder you can begin uploading.

Select the folder where you website is stored locally in the LOCAL (e.g. The files on your computer) Pane.

Now you can begin uploading your files... Just Simply Drag 'n' Drop!

And you can moniter progress and status of the upload in the bottom transfer pane.
