What does URL mean?
| Q: What does URL mean?
A: URL Stands for Universal (or Uniform) Resource Locator.
Simply a URL is a web address or network address.
For example:
http://YourDomain.Tld
http://www.YourDomain.Tld
http://YourDomain.Tld/file.html
These are all in the same domain (YourDomain.Tld), but all have different URLs.
Sometimes you might be asked to include a URL in a support request, as this may help us identify and solve the issue faster, please ensure not to confuse URL's with Domains (YourDomain.Tld).
URLs usually refers to a domain name and additional information. "additional information" means http:// or http://www. as well as the domain, or in other circumstances, http://subdomain.YourDomainm.Tld and even http://YourDomain.Tld/Folder/File.Ext URLs can be thought of as a more specific term than simply a domain name.
Note: http://YourDomain.Tld and http://www.YourDomain.Tld might appear be the same on your site, but that is not the case for a lot of other sites, so providing us with the exact URL will help every one to be on the "same page".
