Backups - Instant, Daily, Weekly & Monthly

Instant backups is when RAID is setup on the server and all files (your site) is constantly syncronised to another disk. In the event the primary disk fails the server will continue to run from the second hard disk, and the original hard disk will be replaced without experiencing downtime.

The downside of instant backups is because it doesn't take a daily, weekly or monthly snapshot of your files. Which means you can't rollback to an earlier date. For example if you accidentally delete your website, the instant backup also contains a deleted website.

Daily Backup is copy of all files, databases, email accounts and cPanel preferences. These backups are usually taken daily and stored on a remote server, and should it be required can be made avalible by XDnet. A small charge may apply.

Weekly Backups as the name suggests these are older backups of your account, should the daily backup not be suitable.

Monthly Backups are also taken, and as with daily and weekly backups can be made avalible should they be required.
